Meet George Matosian, DDS
George S. Matosian has practiced restorative and prosthodontic dentistry in the San Diego, California area for more than 40 years. He is the Co-Director of the San Diego Odontic Seminar, and is a graduate of the University of California San Diego in biochemistry (1971), a magna-cum-laude graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry (1975), and is a past-member of the faculty of that school. He has had a career-long interest in, and devotion to, continuing dental education, attending numerous programs and has completed extensive studies at the L.D. Pankey Institute, twice participated in the Dr. Peter Dawson Masters Forum there, and completed advanced studies of the Temporo-mandibular Joint (“TMJ”) there and elsewhere. Dr. Matosian has frequently presented lectures to other dentists and is the Co-Director of the San Diego Odontic Seminar, an advanced study group. He has served for more than a decade on the Council on Peer Review of the San Diego County Dental Society, and was its chairman in 2002 and 2003, and has been elected to the Pierre Fauchard Academy honorary dental society. His main non-professional interest is his grandchildren, and after that, astronomy, photography, travel, and automobiles.
